Who else is loving the Pantone of the year 2021? The ladies of Bravo TV’s, Real Housewives of Potomac gave us the most spectacular preview of this vibrant, and inspiring shade.

According to Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute, the 2021 Illumnating, a vibrant yellow, “speaks to the resilience, the optimism and hope and positivity that we need, as we reset, renew, reimagine and reinvent.”

Yellow is definitely one of my favorite colors. It can be represented in a ton of hues, pale yellows, mustard yellows, and neons to name a few. There are many amazing ways to incorporate this sunny color into your lifestyle. Some of you may be wondering how to wear it and look as fabulous as the ladies of RHOP.

Complimenting yellow, the general rule is to match your skin’s undertone with your shade choice, and to up the ante your haircolor should complement it, too! Checkout these tips below:

If you have cool blonde hair like pearl, beige or mushroom – compliment your hair color with clothes that are cool shades of yellow like pastel yellow, poppy yellow and pale yellow.

If you have warm blonde hair like strawberry, gold or amber – compliment your hair color with yellow clothes that are warm also, like marigold yellow, or mustard.

Redheads can do no wrong when it comes to wearing yellow. Try wearing an accessory or lipstick color that will break up the yellow adding interest to the outfit.

When it comes to brown and black hair, match your warm skintone to a warmer yellow or your cooler skintone to true or lemon yellow.

So, what if you just don’t think you can wear yellow well? You can always incorporate it in your wardrobe as a trendy pop of color. Try a yellow purse, or shoes, belt or pants.
