What better way to find out about a new fashion trend or learn how to perfect certain looks than from beauty influencers. These days Instagram and YouTube are filled with countless fashion, beauty and inspirational posts. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month we connected with a few of our favorite Latina ladies to discuss how beauty, specifically hair color, has inspired them to be the women they are today! Let’s meet them:
What nationality are you? I am Peruvian
What’s your favorite tradition from your culture? One of my favorite traditions is the giving of Panettone during Christmas time. You give one to a family close to you or someone in need to enjoy around the holidays.
What inspired you to become an influencer? This happened unexpectedly but I am inspired to have a voice and inspire others to follow their dreams as I do mine.
Do you or have you ever used hair color as a way to express your personality? What other beauty rituals do you use to express your individualism? Most definitely. I am one to change my hair color all the time. I believe it is a way of expression and creativity, just like fashion and make up.
What nationality are you? I am Hispanic and Latina from Mexico.
What’s your favorite tradition from your culture? I must say our food. But, I do love how family comes first no matter the situation. La familia primero. This is how Hispanics from Mexico live by and also by the Mi Casa es tu Casa. My house is your house, Mexicans are always so welcoming!
What inspired you to become an influencer? It happened by accident. I owned a Beauty on Demand Company in Dallas, TX and while it was successful I noticed that every time I would share a post that included myself, people were so interested to know what I was wearing, the location I was at, etc. So I started sharing more meaningful posts that added value and helped another reader along the way.
Do you or have you ever used hair color as a way to express your personality? I have! I’ve used Color&Co several times now during Covid. I basically used a natural tone but definitely considering to spice it up and get a color that is totally out of my comfort zone. Life is about risks and expressing yourself and I am glad I can do that through Color&Co.
What other beauty rituals do you use to express your individualism? I love color!! I love to live my life as boldly as the clothes I wear. So wearing a pop of color either in my makeup or clothes helps me express who I am. Living in color!
What nationality are you? I am Cuban and I live in Miami for three years.
What’s your favorite tradition from your culture? The Music, Latinos are very happy, and we like to share with family and friends at any time, and music is something that we cannot miss.
What inspired you to become an influencer? I always had that interest in helping women find the style that suits them best. Since I was young I have studied and worked in the world of makeup and fashion, I studied Cosmetology in my country, where I also taught, participated in events as a model and other times as a makeup artist and that served me a lot of experience. Recently in Miami I got Licensed as a Esthetician, and this led me to the great world of skin care so I am always trying new products and posting my experiences and giving my best advice. It’s something that I really enjoy.
Do you or have you ever used hair color as a way to express your personality? What other beauty rituals do you use to express your individualism? I think that hair color says a lot about a person’s personality, what you want to project. So for me your hair is very important since it will say a lot about how we express ourselves and how others will perceive us. I am a lover of makeup and skin care, but I always say that less is more. As I am always trying new products, to show my followers their benefits or not, it has led me that my routine does not go beyond using what I really need. I don’t wear product if I don’t need it. And for makeup I can’t miss a concealer for dark circles and eyes, make my eyebrows, and always wear mascara and of course a beautiful lipstick.
What nationality are you? Colombian!
What’s your favorite tradition from your culture? My favorite tradition is how we love to dance and celebrate!
What inspired you to become an influencer? I wanted to show little girls and other women out there that they are beautiful and represented in the beauty world!
Do you or have you ever used hair color as a way to express your personality? What other beauty rituals do you use to express your individualism? Yes! I have dyed my hair since I was 12! I loved playing with colors and expressing myself through different colors and styles! In Colombia beauty is a HUGE thing, so naturally from a young age I loved makeup, hair and anything in the beauty field, something about getting dolled up is so inherently Latina!
We’ve sure been inspired, and we hope you have to! Just love hearing how beauty and haircolor truly helps express their unique individualism. Be sure to follow these beauties on Instagram for a daily dose of beauty, fashion, and fun!
